Module 06 · Role portal

Every shift sees exactly the right thing.

Kitchen sees only food. Bar sees only drinks. Service sees everything. No shared tablet with 12 different views — each role gets its own, focused on what they are doing.

Auto-routing

One order — three paths.

Tablario knows from the menu category which item belongs in the kitchen and which at the bar. Service sees the full table. Nobody has to forward anything.

  • Routing automatic · no configuration
  • Status sync · every role sees updates live
  • Handovers in one tap · nothing dropped
Kitchen station

A touch tablet — made for the kitchen.

Landscape tablet, mounted on the wall. Three lanes: new, in progress, done. Drag-and-drop. Big buttons, big type, flour-friendly.

  • Three lanes · new, in progress, done
  • Drag-and-drop · or tap to advance
  • Timer per ticket · red when overdue

Reports
Note
Reports stay with the owner & manager

In the Management module you can define custom roles — e.g. “Shift lead” with read access to reports.

Clear boundaries

Each role — sees only its own.

Who sees what is not a debate. No accidents, no “why am I seeing this?”. Three roles, clear rules, customisable per restaurant.

  • Three default roles · for most restaurants
  • Customisable · e.g. split bar stations
  • Multi-location · one role per site
What you get
  • Three default roles: Kitchen, Bar, Service — adjustable
  • Automatic ticket routing (based on QR menu category)
  • Lossless table handovers between roles
  • Touch-optimised layout for kitchen tablets
  • Live updates over SSE — no refresh required
  • Works without the QR module (manual entry or POS import)
How roles differ
01

Kitchen

Pasta, pizza, steaks — sorted by table, time, status. Drag-and-drop priority. Paid status not visible.

02

Bar

Wine, cocktails, espresso. Service does not see when the bar is overloaded — the bar does. Optional split by bar stations.

03

Service

Full table view: running, finished, paid. Hand off to kitchen or bar with one tap. Walk-ins straight from the service view.

What it does not do
  • No staff chat — we are not building a Slack clone
  • No payroll tracking — see the Management module
  • Three roles are fixed — no 17 custom roles like enterprise POS

One tablet per role, one restaurant

We set up all three role views in the demo. You see what each role really needs.
