EU AI Act · Art. 50

One AI disclosure. Before every call.

Tablario meets the transparency obligations of the EU AI Act (Regulation 2024/1689) from the very first call. Here is how the system works, who keeps control, and what happens to the data.

Operator: Staqmind UG (haftungsbeschränkt) · contact@tablario.com

What you hear on the phone

The AI disclosure at the start of every call

Under Art. 50(1) of the AI Act, natural persons must be informed they are interacting with an AI system. Every caller hears the following at the start of the call:

German

"Guten Tag, Sie sprechen mit dem Tablario-Assistenten, einem KI-gestützten Telefonservice. Wie kann ich Ihnen helfen?"

English

"Hello, you are speaking with Tablario Assistant, an AI-powered phone service. How can I help you?"

Opt-out

Anyone who does not want to talk to an AI can say "human" or "staff" at any time. The call ends without further data being collected.

What the AI does — and does not

Functions & boundaries

The system does:
  • Take phone calls and capture reservations
  • Understand natural language — German incl. dialects, optional English
  • Check availability against the restaurant calendar
  • Create, decline, or propose a reservation
  • Answer common questions (opening hours, address, allergens)
The system does not:
  • No decisions with legal effects (AI Act Art. 50(3))
  • No emotion or biometric recognition (AI Act Art. 50(2))
  • Not a high-risk system per Annex III of the AI Act
  • No profiling under GDPR Art. 22
Human oversight

Who keeps control

The restaurant (Tablario customer) keeps full control at all times:

  • Opening hours, tables, shifts · configurable
  • Maximum party size per reservation · adjustable
  • Booking rules, buffers, minimum stay · individually set
  • Complex matters are handed off to human staff
  • Manual edit, cancellation, correction at any time

Every call and every reservation is logged in the Tablario portal and accessible to the restaurant.

Audio & data

What we store

Audio is stored for up to 30 days and then automatically anonymised (GDPR Art. 5(1)(c), Art. 17). Lawful basis: the AI disclosure at the start of every call serves as consent under GDPR Art. 6(1)(a). A text transcript is also produced for each call; the restaurant can limit transcript retention in its settings.
